Letter of Support for AB 1812: An act to amend the Public Resources Code, relating to solid waste.

OFAC authored a letter of support for AB 1812. "This bill would... prohibit a person from selling or offering for sale a product that is labeled with the term “compostable” or “home compostable” unless the product has OK compost HOME certification or meets a standard adopted by the department. "

Letter of Support for Compost Tax Credit

OFAC authored a letter of support for SB 1135. The proposed legislation offers a tax credit to agricultural producers using compost to enhance carbon sequestration efforts.
